The cherry on top of the cake, the so-called "cherry on top", is the last bit that is missing to crown, in visual language, what is already more than excellent.
For the group show 'Cherries on Top', painting, as genre and technique, is the starting point. With a high painterly density and richness, the 15 artists Arno Beck, Jagoda Bednarsky, Elisa Breyer, Emily Dietrich, Lunita-July Dorn, Thorben Eggers, Lukas Glin-kowski, Timofej Kratz, Tabata von der Locht, Sebastian Maas, Philine Mayr, Sarah Neumann, Tobias Vetter, Ivana de Vivanco and Max Weiss add "the last bit", the cherry(s), on top of the cake base.
Cherries on Top wants a lot and shows a lot. With Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig and Munich, the exhibition represents a cross-section of young painting from Germany and reveals how delicious it can be.
