Nach über 40 Jahren realisiert der Künstler Thomas Schütte seine drei Architekturmodelle aus der legendären Westkunst-Ausstellung (Köln, 1981) zum ersten Mal in realer Größe. De Pont zeigt in diesem Herbst in der Haupthalle der ehemaligen Wollspinnerei des Museums die Modelle Schiff, Bühne und Kiste dieses zentralen Künstlers der Sammlung und lädt die Besucher ein, Treppen zu besteigen, auf der Bühne zu stehen oder sich zurückzuziehen. In den vergangenen vier Jahrzehnten hat Schütte eines der prominentesten und zugleich schwer fassbaren Oeuvres der Gegenwartskunst geschaffen. Die Westkunst-Modelle stehen am Anfang dieses Werks und auch dieser Ausstellung, die einen Überblick über seine Architekturmodelle seit den 1980er Jahren bietet.
