Diet Sayler's works stand for chance, the third term of the exhibition title. Like Rita Ernst, he also escaped the all too rigid guidelines of Concrete Art by freely combining the strongly reduced basic elements. Both through the arrangement of the basic elements on the monochrome painting surface and through the interaction of the individual colour surfaces, a free space was thus created for the viewer's imagination, which is not present in the strict rule-conforming Concrete Art.
